Head into the wilderness of the Thar Desert with our seasoned guide to experience an insider’s view into the diverse biological ecosystem of the Desert National Park.

This tour has been curated with utmost care to offer an unforgettable yet splendid experience of witnessing the enchanting flora & fauna of the desert. In this tour, you will ride across the Desert National Park in a jeep, dine at the sand dunes, embark on a camel safari, witness a mesmerizing sunset, sit by the bonfire (in winters only), have a nice stargazing experience and sleep under the stars.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • The trip to the Desert National Park starts at around 8 am in the morning from Jaisalmer.
  • You will reach the Desert National Park by 10 am and will commence your journey further in a jeep. Here you will witness a variety of like birds, reptiles, and mammals, including the Great Bustard, Gazelles & Desert Foxes. Moreover, you will also see enormous sand dunes and various kinds of vegetation.
  • After spending some quality time in the Desert National Park, you will head towards our desert camp to have a delicious vegetarian lunch.
  • After lunch, you may grab some rest, bathe and freshen up in a Swiss tent or a cottage.
  • Then, you will head towards the camel point in a jeep where you will be greeted upon arrival by our professional guides and friendly camels.
  • Now, you will embark on your camels (one person per camel) and ride into the desert for about 1 hour.
  • Soon, you will reach the dunes where you will be served tea and some snacks. Here you may choose to play in the dunes or sit with your loved ones watching the enchanting sunset.
  • After some time, you will be served dinner around the bonfire (in winters only).
  • Later, you may choose to grab some rest under the starlit night sky or come back to Jaisalmer.

Day 2 (Optional)

  • Today, you will wake up to a mesmerizing sunrise.
  • Then you may choose to wander on in the dunes by yourself.
  • Soon you will be served a healthy breakfast.
  • After breakfast, you will mount again on your camels and ride back to the jeep point.
  • On reaching the jeep point, you will head back to Jaisalmer with sweet and unforgettable memories of this amazing experience.

    The Desert National Park is one of the largest national parks in India with an area of about 3162 km². It is mainly composed of craggy rocks, compact Salt Lake bottoms, intermedial areas and fixed dunes; making it the ideal abode for a wide variety of wildlife including various species of birds, reptiles and animals.

    The park also has a lot of fossils of birds, animals and dinosaurs that date back to more than 180 million years.
