This real desert safari starts at around 1:30 in the afternoon and ends at around 11 am on the third day.
Overview
Our Real Desert Safari has been designed specifically for those who want to experience every essence of the upper-class royals from the begone era by living a completely nomadic yet luxurious life in the desert.
This safari allows you to capture stunning sunsets & sunrise along with an opportunity to spend a night in the open under the star-lit sky and the other one in a luxurious desert camp.
Before heading to the dunes on the first day, you’ll be visiting Khaba and a natural oasis. On the second day, you’ll head towards a desert camp where the local dance & music programme is sure to add glamour to your trip.
Itinerary
Day 1
- The camel safari starts from Jaisalmer around 1:30 PM.
- On the way to the dunes, you’ll be visiting Khaba and a natural oasis.
- Arrival at the camel point where you’ll be welcomed by our friendly guides and healthy camels.
- Each person will be given a separate camel with a 90 minute ride.
- Enjoy the enchanting sunset with some lip smacking snacks.
- Relish your taste-buds with a delicious dinner prepared on wood fire.
- Sleep under the stars in a warm & a cozy bedding.
Day 2
- Next morning, wake up and eat a healthy breakfast for sunrise.
- Enjoy a camel ride of about two and a half hours to three hours (one person per camel only).
- Take rest under the shade, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax.
- Mount on the camel again and ride for approximately one hour.
- Arrival at the camp where you’ll be welcomed by our friendly guides and healthy camels.
- Dive into a rush of adrenaline by indulging in some adventure activities or enjoy the extreme Jeep safari in the dunes (Optional at an extra cost)
- Enjoy a stunning sunset at the camp and enjoy welcome drinks, tea/coffee, and snacks.
- Experience a Rajasthani Cultural Programme (including traditional folk dance and music).
- Enjoy a delicious vegetarian buffet dinner.
- Rest, unwind and sleep in a Luxury Swiss Tent, including your own bathroom and bed.
Day 3
- Wake up and enjoy a healthy breakfast.
- Get a Jeep for Jaisalmer and arrive at around 10 AM.

- Jeep Ride Enjoy the jeep ride from Jaisalmer to the sand dunes and then back to Jaisalmer.
- Khaba Fort Khaba Fort is a ruined citadel built around the 13th century. It was the home to the kingdom of Paliwal Brahmins.
- Natural Oasis This natural oasis never dries and serves as the only source of water for the villagers and various animals.
- Sand Dunes Ride, walk, dine and relax on the picturesque yet mesmerizing sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer.
- Camel Ride Embark on an enchanting camel ride through the varied landscape of the Thar Desert (one person per camel).
- Cultural Programme Witness a dazzling local dance, music & cultural performance by the local gypsie community.
- Night Stay Sleep in the open desert in a warm & cozy bedding overlooking the star-lit night sky along with a stay in a luxurious desert camp.
- Drinks & Meals Savour your taste buds with freshly cooked, non-spicy delicious vegetarian meals. Non-Vegetarian food and alcoholic drinks are available at an additional cost.
- Restrooms There are no restrooms in the desert, and you will have to pee or poop in the open desert.
- Pickup & Drop We offer free pickup and drop from the bus stand (ISBT), railway station and hotels within the Jaisalmer city.
- Shower & Rest You can take a shower a grab a little rest both before and after the camel safari at our hotel in Jaisalmer.
- Luggage Storage You can also keep your luggage safely during your safari at the locker room / store in our hotel.
