Itinerary

Day 1

  • Your sightseeing tour starts from the Trotters Office near the Fort Gate at around 8 am. Here, you will be given a bottle of water to keep you hydrated throughout the tour.
  • Then, you will proceed towards the enchanting Jaisalmer Fort, and visit the Maharaja Palace, Lakshminath Temple, Chandraprabhu Jain Temple, the Surya Temple and the Cannon point.
  • After capturing amazing panoramic pictures at the cannon point, you will continue your journey towards the havelis like Patwon ki Haveli and Nathmal ki Haveli, known for their intricate carvings and fascinating tales.
  • This will be followed by a visit to the Mandir Palace, a splendid royal residence showcasing Jaisalmer's grandeur.
  • After this, you will head towards the Gadisar Lake, where you will have an hour to relax. Here, you will be served a cup of freshly brewed coffee, followed by a horse ride. You may then choose to either sit by the banks admiring the beauty of the lake or opt for a boat ride (at your own expense).
  • After spending some quality time at the lake, you will continue your adventure by traveling to Bada Bagh, a serene complex adorned with majestic cenotaphs dedicated to Jaisalmer's revered royal families.
  • Then, you will visit the Amar Sagar Jain Temple, a wonderful architectural marvel, and an important pilgrimage site for the Jains.
  • After this, you will head towards Kuldhara, an abandoned ghost village steeped in ancient curses and intriguing tales.
  • The next stop on your Jaisalmer trip is the mesmerizing Sam Sand Dunes, where endless stretches of golden sand dunes await. Engage in thrilling desert activities (at your own expense) and witness the enchanting sunset on the dunes.
  • Conclude this immersive car/jeep tour by driving back to the Trotters Office, cherishing the memories of an unforgettable journey through Jaisalmer's captivating landscape.

Camel Ride & Cultural Program (Optional)

Same itinerary as above (apart from the ride back to Jaisalmer), along with the things mentioned below:

  • Upon reaching the Sam sand dunes, you will be warmly greeted by our friendly camel man who will assist you in mounting a camel for an enthralling 10-minute camel ride. (Two people per camel)
  • For an additional cost, you can also opt for an extreme Jeep safari in the dunes.
  • After the camel ride or Jeep safari, you are free to wander and explore the stunning sand dunes until you witness a magical sunset.
  • Following the sunset, embark on a ride to the campsite where you will receive a traditional welcome with dhol, tikka, and aarti.
  • Once, you’ve entered the desert camp, you will be served a welcome drink and delicious vegetarian snacks.
  • After this, prepare to be captivated by a mesmerizing traditional Rajasthani Cultural Programme featuring traditional folk dance and music.
  • Post the cultural program, proceed to the buffet area for a delicious dinner consisting of pure vegetarian meals.

Overnight Stay in a Desert Camp (Optional)

Same itinerary as above (apart from the ride back to Jaisalmer), along with the things mentioned below:

  • Following a delightful dinner, unwind and retreat to your comfortable and cozy tent in the desert camp. Here, you can relax, rejuvenate, and immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance of the desert surroundings.
  • Wake up early to embrace the freshness of the sunrise in the desert, a truly captivating experience.
  • After sunrise, feast on a scrumptious breakfast that will fuel you for the rest of the day ahead.
  • Finally, conclude this sightseeing tour by travelling back to Jaisalmer in your car / jeep, carrying with you sweet and delightful memories of your unforgettable desert experience. You will reach Jaisalmer around 10 AM, where we will drop you at your preferred destination within the city.

  • Lakshminath Temple
    The temple is located inside the Fort and was built in 1494. It is dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi & her consort Lord Vishnu.
  • Chandraprabhu Jain Temple
    This temple is also inside the fort and was built in 1509. It is dedicated to the the 8th Tirthankara Jain Prophet Chandraprabhu Ji.
  • Surya Temple
    The Surya Temple is a small temple inside the fort that was built in the 16th Century and is dedicated to Lord Surya (the Sun God).
  • Patwon ki Haveli
    With a rich history dating back to the 19th century, Patwon ki Haveli stands as a testament to the opulence and architectural brilliance of the wealthy Jain traders of Jaisalmer.
  • Nathmal ki Haveli
    Built in the late 19th century by two brothers, Nathmal ki Haveli showcases a unique blend of Rajput and Islamic architectural styles, reflecting the craftsmanship and artistic fusion prevalent during that era.
  • Mandir Palace
    Originally a royal residence, Mandir Palace showcases exquisite Rajput architecture and offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the erstwhile rulers of the region.
  • Gadisar Lake
    This lake was built in 1156 AD by Maharaja Jaisal Singh to provide water for the inhabitants of Jaisalmer. It was later rebuilt by Maharawal Gadsi Singh around 1367 AD.
  • Bada Bagh
    This is a historic site in Jaisalmer known for its grand cenotaphs dedicated to the royal families of the past, reflecting the architectural brilliance of the bygone era.
  • Amar Sagar Jain Temple
    This jain Temple is dedicated to Lord Parshwanath, called Adeshwar Nath Jain temple and was was built in 1928 by Patwa Bafna Himmat Ram on the banks of a man-made lake.
  • Kuldhara
    Kuldhara is an abandoned village which once housed the Paliwal Brahmins. They left to save the honour of a Brahmin girl from Salim Singh.
  • Natural Oasis
    This natural oasis never dries and serves as the only source of water for the villagers and various animals.
  • Sand Dunes
    Ride, walk, dine and relax on the picturesque yet mesmerizing sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer.
  • Camel Ride
