Overview
This new year experience has specifically been curated for our traveller friends who are travelling on a budget and want to witness the new year celebrations amidst the humongous Sam Sand Dunes.
This tour allows you to witness an enchanting sunset and a mesmerizing sunrise on the dunes. Apart from that, you will be in for a thrilling jeep safari, a captivating camel ride and a wonderful evening filled with laughter, fun and joy.
You will also witness a nice local dance & music programme and will feast upon a delicious dinner. You will also be in for a New Year's Party where you can dance as much as you want to the fine music played by the DJ.
There will also be an enchanting show of fireworks at midnight to celebrate the beginning of a new year.
Itinerary
Day 1
- This new year safari departs at around 1:30 PM from Jaisalmer by jeep.
- On the way to the dunes, you will visit Khaba and a natural oasis.
- Soon, you’ll depart from Khaba and reach the Sam sand dunes where you’ll be in for a nice jeep ride into the desert, followed by a decent camel ride on the dunes.
- After this, you will head towards the camp, where you will receive a traditional welcome by our staff with dhol, tilak and an aarti.
- Soon, you will be served a welcome drink and some freshly prepared snacks.
- Later, you will sit around the cultural programme area to witness a mesmerizing cultural dance & music programme by the artists from the local gypsy community.
- After some time, you will feast on a delicious traditional dinner.
- After dinner, you may go to the dance floor and dance to the enchanting music played by the DJ.
- At midnight, you will see the fireworks light up the star-lit night sky to celebrate the beginning of a new year.
Day 2
- Next morning, you will wake up to a beautiful sunrise.
- You may choose to relax a bit more, sit by or walk around in the camp while we prepare a healthy breakfast for you.
- Soon, you will be served a healthy breakfast around 8:30 am.
- After breakfast, you will head back to Jaisalmer by jeep and reach there before 11 am.
