This new year camel safari starts at around 1:30 pm and ends at around 11:00 am, the next day.



Overview

The New Year Safari has been designed specifically to offer you a wonderful experience of the desert life along with a charm of celebrating life with fireworks, bonfire, dance & music programme and a decent camel ride.

This safari also allows you to witness a beautiful sunrise and an enchanting sunset in the dunes. Moreover, you will be dazzled by the camel ride through the varied topography of the Thar Desert. At night, you will be sleeping under the stars in a warm & cozy bedding.

Before heading to the dunes, you’ll be visiting Khaba and a natural oasis that serves as a water source for various local birds, animals and villagers.


Itinerary

Day 1

  • The camel safari departs at around 1:30 PM from Jaisalmer by jeep .
  • On the way to the dunes, you will visit Khaba and a natural oasis.
  • You’ll receive a warm welcome by friendly guides and healthy camels.
  • You will be allotted one camel per person for a 90 minute ride within the desert.
  • Stop at the dunes, marvel at the beautiful sunset, and savour the taste of delicious snacks.
  • Then you will witness a mesmerizing traditional cultural program along with a special Dinner (pure vegetarian meals).
  • After dinner, witness the colorful fireworks in the open night sky.
  • Later, sleep under the stars in a warm and a cozy bedding.

Day 2

  • Next morning, wake up to a beautiful sunrise.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast after sunrise.
  • Mount on your camel and ride for about 90 minutes.
  • Take a jeep ride to Jaisalmer and reach by 11 AM.

    Enjoy the jeep ride from Jaisalmer to the sand dunes and then back to Jaisalmer.
  • Khaba Fort
    Khaba Fort is a ruined citadel built around the 13th century. It was the home to the kingdom of Paliwal Brahmins.
  • Kuldhara
    Kuldhara is an abandoned village which once housed the Paliwal Brahmins. They left to save the honour of a Brahmin girl from Salim Singh.
  • Natural Oasis
    This natural oasis never dries and serves as the only source of water for the villagers and various animals.
  • Sand Dunes
    Ride, walk, dine and relax on the picturesque yet mesmerizing sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer.
  • Camel Ride
    Embark on an enchanting camel ride through the varied landscape of the Thar Desert (one person per camel).
  • Night Stay
    Sleep in the open desert in a warm & cozy bedding overlooking the star-lit night sky.
  • Cultural Programme
    Witness a dazzling local dance, music & cultural performance by the local gypsie community.
  • Fireworks
    Witness a beautiful show of fireworks or may be fire them up for a unique exeperience.
