Itinerary

Day 1

  • The tour will start form the Trotters Office in Gopa Chowk at 8:00 am or we will pick you up in a comfortable air-conditioned car from your hotel or any preferred destination within the city.
  • The first stop on your tour will be the Shiv Madi Temple, a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which holds a significant value for the locals.
  • After seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva, we will continue our journey towards Tanot, and we’ll be reaching our destination after an approximately 2-hour drive through the rugged terrain of the desert.
  • On reaching Tanot, you will seek the blessings from Tanot Mata and partake in langar, a free vegetarian meal offered by the Indian Army to all the devotees.
  • Have the langar and then you will ride towards Longewala and visit the Sadhewala War Memorial as well as the Longewala Yudh Sthal, which will give you a peek into the history of the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
  • After this, you will continue riding back to Jaisalmer, and will take a short halt at Bada Bagh, a tranquil complex adorned with magnificent cenotaphs honouring Jaisalmer's esteemed royal families.
  • Then, you will visit ride towards the final attraction on your tour, i.e. the Jaisalmer War Museum to soak in some more historical facts about the Indo-Pak war.
  • Finally, you will conclude the tour either at the Trotters Office or at any preferred destination within the city, with cherished memories of this enthralling excursion.
  • This adventurous motorbike trip to Tanot & Longewala will start form the Trotters Office in Gopa Chowk at 8:00 am, where you’ll be served a delicious cup of tea. You’ll also be given a water bottle to keep you hydrated during your tour.
  • As you start your journey towards Tanot, take the first halt at the Shiv Madi Temple, a revered Lord Shiva temple that holds immense significance for the locals.
  • After seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva, the thrilling journey towards Tanot, navigating through the rugged desert terrain for approximately 2 hours.
  • Upon arrival at Tanot, seek the blessings from Tanot Mata and savour a delicious langar comprising of a vegetarian meal served by the jawans from the Indian Army.
  • After this, you will head towards Longewala to visit the Sadhewala War Memorial and the Longewala Yudh Sthal, immersing yourself in the history of the 1971 war.
  • Then, you will continue your journey back to Jaisalmer, taking a brief stop at Bada Bagh, which is a serene complex adorned with majestic cenotaphs dedicated to Jaisalmer's esteemed royal families.
  • Conclude the tour with a visit to the Jaisalmer War Museum, deepening your understanding of the Indo-Pak war's historical significance.
  • Finally, end the tour at Trotters Office, carrying cherished memories of this captivating and exhilarating excursion.

  • Tanot Mata Temple
    This famous temple is located near in Tanot near the Longewala border (India-Pakistan Border) and the Goddess is blessed with miraculous powers as the Pakistan army dropped around 3000 bombs during the 1965 War between India & Pakistan and none of them exploded. As a result, the Pakistan Army general came to the temple to apologize and to seek the blessings from the divine. This temple was also featured in the 1997 Bollywood Blockbuster movie 'Border'.
