This camel safari starts at around 6:30 am in the morning or at around 1:30 pm in the afternoon and ends at around 11 am or 5:30 pm, the fifth day.



Overview

Experience living the true desert life by exploring the Thar Desert with a camel and a local. During this expedition, you will not only witness the natural beauty of the desert, but will also get to experience the local nomadic life.

During your expedition, you'll have the privilege of exploring heritage sites, immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of desert villages, and perhaps even glimpsing indigenous desert wildlife.

Moreover, you will also get a unique opportunity to acquaint yourself with the camel you'll be riding, learning the art of riding and caring for your humpy friend.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • The camel adventure will kick off from Jaisalmer with a Jeep ride at the designated time.
  • Your initial stop will be for a delightful breakfast or lunch.
  • Each participant will have the chance to embark on a 2 1/2 hour desert excursion astride their own camel.
  • As the day unfolds, you will reach the first campsite, perfectly timed for a captivating sunset, accompanied by a serving of tea and snacks.
  • While our team readies a traditional dinner over an open flame, you can unwind on the set-up beds for the evening.
  • Embrace the enchantment of your first night in the desert beneath the star-studded sky.

Day 2

  • Begin your day by embracing the breathtaking beauty of a sunrise.
  • You’ll be treated to a satisfying breakfast to fuel your adventure.
  • Hop back on your camel for another 2 1/2-hour journey deeper into the desert.
  • Find respite from the sun's heat, relish a hearty lunch, and take some time to relax for a few hours.
  • The second part of the day will see you resume your camel ride for another 2 1/2 hours.
  • Revel in another awe-inspiring sunset at your second campsite while enjoying a cup of tea.
  • Gather around the inviting bonfire to relish a delicious dinner.
  • Conclude your day with another night of sleeping under the stars.

Day 3

  • Begin your day with a breathtaking sunrise.
  • Fuel up with a satisfying breakfast before your adventure.
  • Resume your 2 1/2-hour camel journey into the desert.
  • Take a break from the sun's heat, savor a hearty lunch, and enjoy some relaxation.
  • Continue your camel ride for another 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon.
  • Experience another awe-inspiring sunset at your second campsite, accompanied by a cup of tea.
  • Gather around a welcoming bonfire for a delectable dinner.
  • Conclude your day with another night of sleeping under the stars.

Day 4

  • Start your day with the splendor of a sunrise.
  • Recharge with a satisfying breakfast as you prepare for your adventure.
  • Get back on your camel for an extended 2 1/2-hour journey further into the desert.
  • Savour a hearty lunch and take a leisurely break.
  • Resume your camel ride for another 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon.
  • Delight in yet another mesmerizing sunset at your final campsite over evening tea and snacks.
  • Relish your final dinner.
  • Enjoy your last night of slumber beneath the starry skies.

Day 5

  • Indulge in a refreshing cup of bed tea, and then savour a freshly cooked breakfast as the sun rises.
  • On your return journey to Jaisalmer, you'll have the opportunity to explore a peaceful oasis and the historic Khaba Fort.
  • Finally, you will be transported back to Jaisalmer.

  • Khaba Fort Khaba Fort is a ruined citadel built around the 13th century. It was the home to the kingdom of Paliwal Brahmins.

  • Shower & Rest You can take a shower a grab a little rest both before and after the camel safari at our hotel in Jaisalmer.
  • Luggage Storage You can also keep your luggage safely during your safari at the locker room / store in our hotel.
