This camel safari starts at around 6:30 am in the morning or at around 1:30 pm in the afternoon and ends at around 11 am or 5:30 pm, the third day.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • The camel safari will depart at the selected time from Jaisalmer by Jeep.
  • The first stop will be for breakfast/lunch (depending on the start time).
  • You will be allotted one camel per person for 2 1/2 hour ride within the desert.
  • You will arrive at the first campsite in time to witness a beautiful sunset. This will be accompanied by tea and snacks.
  • You can lounge about the beds set up for the night as our staff prepares a traditional dinner over an open fire.
  • Enjoy your first night in the desert under the stars.

Day 2

  • Commence your day with a stunning sunrise followed by a substantial breakfast to keep you energized. 
  • Rejoin your trusty camel for another 2 1/2-hour journey deeper into the desert.
  • Seek refuge from the sun's intensity under the shade of a tree, savor a hearty lunch, and take a few hours to unwind. 
  • The latter part of the day will see you continue your camel ride for another 2 1/2 hours.
  • As the day transitions to evening, savor yet another breathtaking sunset at your second campsite while sipping tea. 
  • Later, gather around the crackling bonfire to enjoy a sumptuous dinner.
  • Cap off the day with another night of stargazing under the vast desert sky.

Day 3

  • Enjoy bed tea followed by freshly cooked breakfast at sunrise.
  • On your way back to Jaisalmer, you will visit a serene oasis and the Khaba Fort.
  • You will be taken back to Jaisalmer.

  • Jeep Ride Enjoy the jeep ride from Jaisalmer to the sand dunes and then back to Jaisalmer.
  • Khaba Fort Khaba Fort is a ruined citadel built around the 13th century. It was the home to the kingdom of Paliwal Brahmins.
  • Natural Oasis This natural oasis never dries and serves as the only source of water for the villagers and various animals.
  • Sand Dunes Ride, walk, dine and relax on the picturesque yet mesmerizing sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer.
  • Camel Ride Embark on an enchanting camel ride through the varied landscape of the Thar Desert (one person per camel).
  • Drinks & Meals Savour your taste buds with freshly cooked, non-spicy delicious vegetarian meals. Non-Vegetarian food and alcoholic drinks are available at an additional cost.
  • Restrooms There are no restrooms in the desert, and you will have to pee or poop in the open desert.
  • Pickup & Drop We offer free pickup and drop from the bus stand (ISBT), railway station and hotels within the Jaisalmer city.
  • Shower & Rest You can take a shower a grab a little rest both before and after the camel safari at our hotel in Jaisalmer.
  • Luggage Storage You can also keep your luggage safely during your safari at the locker room / store in our hotel.
