This sightseeing tour has been designed with utmost care to offer an immersive experience of Jaisalmer where you’ll be visiting some of the most popular attractions like the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli, Nathman ki Haveli, Gadisar Lake and some exotic Jain Temples.

During this captivating city tour, the magic of Jaisalmer will transport you to the bygone era and leave you with unforgettable memories of living in this beautiful desert city.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • This sightseeing tour will start from the Trotters Office near the Fort Gate at around 8 am, where you will be served a cup of delicious tea on arrival.
  • After having tea, you will walk towards the Jaisalmer Fort to see the Maharaja Palace, Lakshminath Temple, Chandraprabhu Jain Temple, Surya Temple and the Cannon Point.
  • Then, you will get in a car / jeep and head towards the Patwon ki Haveli and the Nathman ki Haveli to see the intrique carvings on this famous historical monument.
  • After this, you will head towards the Mandir Palace to witness the royal life of the Mahrajas (kings).
  • Now, we will take a short break for lunch and you may have it, but at your own expense.
  • This will be followed by a visit to the Vyas Chattri, popular for its intricately carved cenotaphs.
  • Then, you will continue your journey towards the Gadisar Lake to enjoy some nice time sitting on the banks of this beautiful man-made lake. You may also choose to go for a horse ride and boating (at your own expense).
  • After this, you can conclude the tour by coming back to your car / jeep and we'll drop you to your preferred destination within the city.

  • Maharaja Palace
    Situated within the Jaisalmer Fort, the palace is a fascinating place with intricate details, captivating artifacts and architectural grandeur.
  • Lakshminath Temple
    The temple is located inside the Fort and was built in 1494. It is dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi & her consort Lord Vishnu.
  • Chandraprabhu Jain Temple
    This temple is also inside the fort and was built in 1509. It is dedicated to the the 8th Tirthankara Jain Prophet Chandraprabhu Ji.
  • Surya Temple
    The Surya Temple is a small temple inside the fort that was built in the 16th Century and is dedicated to Lord Surya (the Sun God).
  • Patwon ki Haveli
    With a rich history dating back to the 19th century, Patwon ki Haveli stands as a testament to the opulence and architectural brilliance of the wealthy Jain traders of Jaisalmer.
  • Nathmal ki Haveli
    Built in the late 19th century by two brothers, Nathmal ki Haveli showcases a unique blend of Rajput and Islamic architectural styles, reflecting the craftsmanship and artistic fusion prevalent during that era.
  • Mandir Palace
    Originally a royal residence, Mandir Palace showcases exquisite Rajput architecture and offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the erstwhile rulers of the region.
  • Vyas Chattri
    Vyas Chhatri, a cenotaph dedicated to the sage Vyasa, is a magnificent architectural structure adorned with intricate carvings, serving as a peaceful tribute to the revered figure from Hindu mythology.
  • Gadisar Lake
    This lake was built in 1156 AD by Maharaja Jaisal Singh to provide water for the inhabitants of Jaisalmer. It was later rebuilt by Maharawal Gadsi Singh around 1367 AD.
